What, I don’t get it, I though christians thought god and jesus were different things? One being the son of the other? Your jokes are like me saying that my dad and my brother are the same person? Or am I taking the ‘son of god’ thing to literally? I’m not religious.

God and Jesus are considered to be two different people. These people mocking him for thanking both, is kind of insulting.

When I went to Catholic School the teachers would talk about God and Jesus, The Father and The Son like they were the same people. I never understood it… but they really considered the Holy Trinity one. I still don’t understand it, but then again I don’t understand religion in general.
